12 mln lev apartment complex, one of the biggest investment projects in the ski resort of Bansko, has been completed, said the investor Tamplier EOOD. Tamplier EOOD is fully owned by Totka Yotseva, wife of former energy minister Ilko Yotsev.

The four-storey building houses 54 apartments and has a built-up area of 12,000 sq m. The complex has a restaurant, two bars, a swimming pool, a gym and a spa center.

The bulk of the apartments have been sold, mainly to British buyers.

A total of 400 mln euro have been invested in tourist facilities in Bansko over the past two years, according to municipal authorities data. However, booming construction is impeded by the region's inadequate infrastructure.

According to municipality data, Bansko will have some 100 new hotels at the start of the winter season. Tourist arrivals are expected to grow by 5%. Foreigners, mostly Britons and Greeks, make up 20% of all visitors.
